My love for Pitkin, CO started 6 years ago when my parents bought a vacation cabin for us to come visit. We mainly decided on Pitkin because my dad rides dirt bikes up in the mountains with his buddies, and Pitkin is a haven for all trail riders. I have loved riding four wheelers, hiking, going to town (Gunnison) for girl’s days, photography, but mainly just the peace and beauty of Colorado. I have grown up coming to New Mexico and Colorado for many a ski trip or camping trip. I fell in love with it a long time ago. Then, two years ago I brought the boy of my dreams to the place of my dreams, and he picked an awfully good place to “pop the question”. Of course, I said yes! And now he too is in love with all things Pitkin…
We got lucky after our engagement because one of our house guests was an excellent photographer. She offered to take our engagement pictures the day after we got engaged. Couldn’t have picked a better backdrop! I think I love our engagement pictures possibly more than our wedding pictures.
This brings us to today. I’m only visiting for a week this summer, but Pitkin has been lovely so far. It has been filled with riding, hiking, farmer’s markets, good food, visiting Crested Butte and Gunnison, and then flowers, lots of flowers!

BEAUTY!!!! It looks incredible! So glad that you both are getting some quality restful living in some momentously lovely environments!
