Welcome to wild.flower! This is a local boutique shop switched to an online boutique shop. Why? Well, we’re just going with the flow of life, and this is where it has brought us so far. We are lovingly creating art, candles, jewelry, crochet, photography, and more at this point in our adventure. We hope you enjoy our joint love for cozy, creative, vintage-inspired pieces. With love from two one-of-a-kind wild.flowers,
Kaleen & Margo
A Little About Kaleen
by Margo Connell
Kaleen has been expressive and artistic from a young age. She has always been creative with colors and designs. She grew up dancing, making layouts, gardening, and just using her imagination. While growing up, she would paint with her grandmother, who was an artist, or find something she could work on to express herself. As her mom, I encouraged Kaleen to be creative and pursue her dreams. She went on to get an art degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. So, after Kaleen graduated in December 2009, it was a perfect time to start our business adventure.
Kaleen and I started researching and buying, found a place, brainstormed for a business name and then everything just began to work together. Today, all that hard work has evolved into a wonderful business, Wild.Flower, that is continuing to change and grow.
Through Kaleen’s drive and creativity, she has found a perfect outlet to let her expand on her many strengths. Kaleen has a very good visual eye that compliments the business with her sense of fashion and flair for expressing style in the home area.
Kaleen is co-owner of Wild.Flower and continues to use her art degree and talents to make Wild.Flower such a beautiful shop.
A Little About Margo
by Kaleen Ezelle
Margo is known by her friends to be the “woman who can do anything”. ”A jack of all trades AND master of most”. She’s basically the “superwoman” type, so when she suggested to start a business I listened intently.
My mom’s creative journey started way back at beauty school. In her twenties, she worked as a stylist and loved every minute of it. Eventually, she had two kids (one of them being ME!) and decided to stay home. With her freedom from work and her desire to pinch pennies, my mom has always been creatively practical in all things. She made our clothes, crocheted gifts and afghans, cut our hair, remodeled houses, grew gardens, crafted with us daily, cooked up a storm, and entertained like nobody’s business! Plus, she wasn’t just okay at these things; she was fantastic!
As I got older, we grew creatively together. It started out coloring and baking cookies together then grew into full-scale home renovations and decorating. Mom’s visionary attitude has developed who I am as an adult and is a huge reason why we have our little shop today!
Margo is now a co-owner of Wild.Flower and a certified interior decorator, redesigner, and homestager; CIS, CRS.
