So, I don’t remember many details from the Oscar’s on Sunday night because I was too busy playing in a photobooth, eating cupcakes, and talking “blogs” with a bunch of ladies at Pencil Shavings’ Oscar Night. I do know that my favorite dresses were Michelle Williams (of course), Elizabeth Olsen, Diane Kruger, Lily Collins, Kelly Ripa, Louise Roe, Olga Kurylenko, and Mia Wasikowska.

And I kept looking for Marion Cotillard (my all-time favorite) and was disappointed that she didn’t attend. I figured since Midnight in Paris was nominated for so many categories that she’d surely be there. Sad day : (
Also, here’s a little peak at my fashion for the night. I still can’t believe I managed to wear a dress I wore in high school and still like it for that matter!! I guess what’s not to love about a vintage-inspired, classic red dress?

Step 1: Curl hair in layers to create a glamourous 40′s bob
Step 2: Apply neutral eyes and classic red lips to further create the vintage feel
Step 3: Slip into your party dress, heels, and fabulous jewelry. (I wore my grandmother’s emerald & diamond cocktail ring. It’s the most amazing piece of jewelry I own! Sorry I don’t have a pic)
And voila! — An Oscar-ready look…
I had so much fun glamming up and hanging out with some amazing ladies. Can’t wait for my next reason to play dress up!
inspiring. romancing. beautifying.
